Question Initial breakout?

i started a new skin regimen. philosophy clear kit for acne skin. i've been using it for about 10 days and i'm getting some pimples, but nothing major but i still dont like how my face forhead has pimples and i never used to get a pimple there. is this a initial breakout that happens when you start something new? how long does the breakout period lasts? how long does products usually take before it really works? i see it improving slightly. any suggestions?
