When I finished taking accutane I just took my last pill and that was that......not realizing that I'd only get about 4 months of clear skin post-accutane. Those 4 months were great though. My face was so low maintenance. No excess oil. No problems shaving. No pain. Got some confidence built up. But it's pretty hard having the acne come back once it's been gone for a short period.
By the by jhart, I've been meaning to compliment you on using one of my favorite William Butler Yeats quotations. It's from a beautiful poem.

I heard it when Sean Bean's character read it in the film "Equilibrium" and it sounded very poignant to me.
