Re: 10% benzol peroxide

i've tried 10% bp but all it did was burn my skin and make it flake. but that happened after the first night, so if u havent seen it getting any worse yet, just continue because some people even use 15, so it depends on how ur skin reacts

Re: 10% benzol peroxide

If the redness and flaking continues, you may want to consider switching to 2.5% BP. 10% was always too harsh for my skin. It's said that when the skin is dried out by something such as benzoyl peroxide, it will produce more oil to compensate for the dryness, leading to a breakout. Studies have shown 2.5% is just as effective as 10%, but still, everyone is different. Personally i recommend 2.5%.

Re: 10% benzol peroxide

I never noticed 2.5% doing anything good for my face. It definetly didn't make it dry but my acne didn't clear up either. 10% was way too harsh to use on my whole face. 5% works great though! It does dry out my face but a moisturizer takes care of that and it isn't quite as bad as it was with the 10%.

Just a tip: make sure that you are using only a *thin* layer. That's really truely all you need for it to work and it's better on your skin.

Re: 10% benzol peroxide

i use it sometimes just to stop my face greasing up, it doesn't really dry my skin out, i guess because i drink alot of water to compensate for it..and use a good scrub to flake dead skin off..meh.
Prometheus is really cool, so is sweetjade, they all know theyre stuff and have given me ever growing confidence with acne.
