hey i have a big under the skin painful zit and im having my mom call the dermotologist to have him give it a cortisone shot. does it work? does the redness go away and does the zit go away? any stories would be helpful! thanks!
A cortisone shot isn't the best experience to go through, especially if you don't like needles, but its definetly worth it because it'll help get rid of the swelling faster than it would by itself...for me it's gone the next day, but i'm still left with a red mark. I wouldn't worry too much because a cortisone shot will definetly help you. Good luck!
well it is a needle so it does hurt a little, but only for a second...once you get it done you'll be happy you did it because it'll help so much. It's not something you should think about too much, just do it and you'll be glad you did.
I just got a cortisone shot today into this huge cyst on my chin. The swelling has already gone done. It's still a little red, but with a little make-up over it, it's barely visible. I don't get cysts very often anymore since going on spiro, but this was a biggie, and I wanted it taken care of.
ya i just HATE the bump under your skin sooooooooooooo much it really sucks - so it gets rid of that totally?
Depending on how big it is, within a day, the swelling will go down significantly, but it may still take another day or two to completely flatten out, which is still a heck of a lot better than waltzing around town with a golf-ball on your face for a week or two.
