| Saline injections for scars.
Has anyone heard of saline injections being used to treat acne scarring (indented/atrophic kind)? I was just doing a search regarding this in the archives and discovered that there were many people talking about this procedure about 1.5-2 years ago. I wonder were all those people went; I guess there all off somewhere enjoying life? Anyway, I know that there are a lot of current visitors to the boards who have been members since this time; does anyone know anything regarding this treatment. For those who have never heard about this procedure, it was seemingly pioneered by a doctor named Dr. Sire, and he has been performing these saline injections for over 10 years. The procedure roughly consists of injecting saline solution into depressed scars, and even though the saline is absorbed relatively quickly by the body, the intial lift provided by the saline enables the collagen to break-up and reform. From what I was able to gather people had noted improvements ranging from 30-80%, and apparently there long lasting. Some people were even performing their own saline injections at home. Does anyone know if this doctor is still performing this procedure; has anyone personally undergone this treatment?
