I used retin-a gel and the micro for 2 years and for a while it worked, despite the intensely dry, flaky, irritated skin. But I must warn you, after 2 years my face started to get ********** up from it. It gave me what my dermatologist refered to as "chemical rosacae" where my face has developed a permanent redness as if I had rosacae, which I dont. See a dermatologist, I am on Cleocin-T Lotion and Plexion cleanser and have good results without irritation or dryness
I have just been put on Retin-A Gel 0.01% for my acne, which is the type that leaves holes in your face
I've read a lot about Retin A on this board and it seems like no one has had any luck
I've been put on mine for 5 weeks, it's only been 2 days and my face looks a bit smoother, but also greasier, but i'm not expecting miracles in 2 days
I used Retin a .04% it worked pretty good except it made my skin oilier red sensitive to just about every element of the weather so yeah that's why I had to stop using it. I spend a lot of time outside and I hate using selftanners or sunscreens, so I stopped the retin a.
i don't know what percentage I used, but I never liked it....it was wayyyy too harsh and burned my face...made it red and flaky. I gave it two tries, but both times I gave up after a few days, because my face just couldn't take it.
