hey, i wouldnt do anything... i used to have one a few years back right on my cheek. It might be a blod blister type thing... if you pop it, it might cause a scar. try to see your dermatologist.

Hmmm, I had the very same thing happen to me. It started out as a weird bump that didn't really hurt. Then it got really inflamed and purple/red. I couldn't get it to go down, and then one night it started to turn black/purple. I then tried to pop it, and all that came out was a lot of blood.

I had it for about 2 months, and then finally, a whitehead emerged. I still have the scar from last year.

See if your derm can suggest something, b/c it was one of the worst I've had and I hated it.

Try keeping warm-hot compresses on it as often as you can.

I get these probably once a year but they last for so long. I have one on my cheek that's been here for 4 long, embarassing weeks. I was able to get a derm appointment for next week and I can deal with it til then (it's so tough to get one around here)....but I have a high school reunion coming up in 3 days! Ugh, if they could only postpone the reunion for another week. I'm lucky that my skin is otherwise clear.

gently press it..
if it is hard and it hurts, leave it
but if it is soft u feel that it is watery inside here is what u do..

u take a needle.. run it through hot water, for 2 min or so.. then wipe the needle with rubbing alchol..
wipe the cyst with rubbing alchol..
make a small hole.

repeat the steps 3 times, until u make 3 holes
then wrap your figers with kneex dampend with rubbing alchol and just gently try to push it

huge amount of blood and puss will come poring out

it'll leave a scar for sure.
but if u dont do anything it'll leave a scar too

Well, most of mine came out! I was washing my face last night and as I looked down to pick something up, I could feel something on my cheek. It just discharged on its own (mine usually last for no more than 4 weeks before it does this but I was convinced this would never go away). God, I can't even begin to tell you all how relieved I am that most of this is gone before my reunion. I never had bad skin in high school. Not until I graduated college did these cysts start appearing. Now for my question: I know these will come back on my face again because I just feel like it's inevitable (from past experience). What do your derms prescribe/recommend?

my derm prescribed my tetracycline, ( an antibotic)
it suppressed the zits. but when i stopped it, it jsut came back. it really bites..
the truth is, Benzyl peroxide and these antibotics doens't do anything, they only suppress it.

so now , i just wash my face with a cleaser, if i have zits , i jsut put on polysporin.. thats about it

and i watch what i eat..

do u know what is really good? have plain yogurt after every meal.. it really helps with the face

I was given a prescription for tetracycline almost 2 years ago but it made me nauseous all the time. It definitely cleared my skin up and I didn't have a massive cyst until this past month. Right now I'm using Apresia products and I really like them. What is polysporin and where can I get that? Thanks!

Scar,

It sounds like you have unfriendly bacteria in your stomach. Bio Yoghurt contains probiotics, which replaces the gut with friendly flora.

but yogurt really saved the day.
POLYSPORIN??
it is really common, u can get it anywhere
just go to the grocery store or drug store and look under first aid, places where they put band aids
if u dun find it , just ask the clerk

POLYSPORIN IS REALLY GOOD!! the triple formula with added vitamin E

Scar, thanks for the info on polysporin. I'll go to the drugstore and check it out.

remember, just put it on the zit itself
don't put it on other areas
it might clog pores
