which laser to choose: palomar medilux or smoothbeam?

I have put a lot of research into smoothbeam but now I am hearing about something called palomar medilux. The latter laser is a LOT cheaper here than the smoothbeam but for the smoothbeam, I have a money back guarantee whereas I don't get my money back if the palomar doesnt' work. I've had a smoothbeam consultation & the dr said she thinks that I will benifit from it a great deal but if after 4 treatments it will be obvious if it is working or not & if it's not, she will reimburse me in full. That sounds too good to pass up but I still want to find out which laser is the better one for me. I am having a hard time finding any info on this palomar laser. I went into their website but it didn't really give me any insight as to which laser is the best for me. I'm in my 30's with occasional breakouts but mainly concerned with getting rid of acne scars from my teen years & getting a cleaner & smoother skintone. My scars I"d say are moderate. I would consider them to be a mild icepick. They are also reddish tinted. The problem is mainly on my cheeks. I also have very large pores. If anyone has any ideas at all as to which laser to go with I'd appreciate any feedback.
