Cool Proactiv

Hi, i have just recently checked out the proactiv website and it looks really good. Does any1 else use proactiv 3 step system, and does it really work? At the moment i use clinique which i have used for years, but i still give quite a few breakouts. i really fancy giving this proactiv a try and see how it goes as there has been a lot of posotive feedback on it. Any comments would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Alex.

Re: Proactiv

I used Proactiv for a while about a year ago. It did burn, itch, and peel for a while. But I stuck with it and when like 4 months came around my skin had dramatically improved. My skin had a nice glow to it and a little more evenskin tone too. The only problem was that it wasn't getting any better after using it. I guess I expected to be totally clear at some point. I don't think anything can do that for me. I'm thinking about buying Klear Action (The generic form of ProActiv) along with my Yasmin.

Re: Proactiv

As far as burning, itching and peeling goes.... that is a normal reaction to several types of acne treatments. some are more sensitive that others. benzoyl peroxide irritated me a bit in the beginning but now i am used to it and have no irritation- and clear skin.

that is the main thing behind proactiv - the benzoyl peroxide, you might as well get klear action and save yourself $20.

good luck

Re: Proactiv

I currently use it. Yeah again in the beginning things tend not to be working and doing the opposite what it is suppose to. Dryness is common if you never used BP before and I had it bad. Now, at about 3 months, im nearly 100% clear and no more dryness. All you have to do is stick with it, use it correctly, and moisturize regularly. I moisturize after everything I wash. I use the renewing cleanser in the mornings when I wake up, and then about 12 hours later I will use the whole 3 piece system with moisturizing afterwards.

I find that it works well, also tips are after using the renewing cleanser pat dry face with a brand new towel, and never pick at your face ever. I use to do that and was a habit, now I dont touch my face and im almost clear after 4 years.

Anyway good luck with the proactiv if you do try it.

Re: Proactiv

So far I like Proactive but I usually only get one breakout every day or two and not very severe. I also have little bumps on my forehead. I have only been using Proactive for one week and so far so good. I have had two little pimples since and there are fewer bumps on my forehead. These two pimples are tiny and I'm not going to touch them I heard people use the mask on the pimple only when they get a few and they go away the next day. These two pimples are nothing compared to the one or more a day that I got before using Proactive. I think you should try it because there is a 60 day money back guarantee. They say it can take anywhere from 4-8 weeks to clear up. I'm thinking of ordering the under eye creams too. The 2nd step tingles but it goes aways. And I avoid my eye and mouth areas just because people have said they get wrinkles under their eyes and their lips get dry. I haven't had any of that yet. I wish you luck.

I use the six step system. I use the three step system then I use the mask(I use 2 or three times a week), lotion with sunscreen(I use in the morning) and a night cream(use at night).

Re: Proactiv

i definetly recommend you try it. i have been using it for a while now and its great! the burning usually comes along if you have sensitive skin im guessing but i have super sensitive skin and it doesnt burn me. and as far as peeling and itching go, if your skin is peeling its because you have used to much of the repairing lotion (it contains benzoyl peroxide) and the itching would be because of the peeling! they advise you to only use a dime sized amount of the clenser and repairing lotion! i know its sounds small but a little really goes a long way with this stuff!@ try it youll love it!
