Exclamation acne - oil based moisturisers

Hi Guys,
I usually don't get acne/pimples ( only occasionally) however the past month i have had a really bad breakout on my chin and cheeks .
I am wondering whether it could be the face creams i am using.
At the moment i am using this : http://www.dhccare.com/Product.aspx?id=Olive%20Essentials%20Set
It's an japanese brand with olive oil as the base however it has no chemicals.
I am wondering whether this could be making me break out??

Thanks!!

I use olive oil as moisturizers too. I have been breaking out a little bit, i think maybe using extra light olive oil would be better for your skin.

Yea it could be the moisturizer. I would just try changing it to one without olive oil and see if you skin clears up.

How long have you been using the moisturizer, boscop? The olive oil in it could very well be the culprit. I would think that olive oil of any kind would clogg your pores.

Re: acne - oil based moisturisers

hi!!
I had used it for approx 3 weeks ( sometime in augusut) and then i had a bad break out since now. I have stopped using it now.
Wouldn't the break outs happen immediately?. It took approx 2 weeks for the pimples to show!.

any ideas whether it could be the culprit?. However i have been to the docs and he said it could be due to hormonal changes and his put me on diane 35.
Fingers cross that it'll all go soon

Olive oil actually tends to be noncomedogenic.

It very well could be the oil clogging your pores. Moisturizers for your face should be oil-free and labelled with either "non-comedogenic" or "won't clog pores".

Olive oil is considered low-comedogenic, which means there is a low probability of it clogging your pores, but you may as well elminate it just in case it is causing the problem.
