The salon I go to carries Dermologica supplies the facail lady there swears by them and her skin is Perfect but after reading some of the ingredient labels i wasnt too impressed, very pricey as well..
Well I know they are pricey but price is irrelevant to me if it stops or almost stops your acne. I have tried everything. I have been on accutane twice, done every antibiotic and prescription cream or topical out there and every over the counter you can imagine.
Right now Im slowly weening off Proactiv and have been using a AVEDA purifying gel cleanser right now. I use mineral makeup as well so I dont see why Im breaking out so bad.
I've been using Dermalogica products for five months now. My facialist first used it on me, and then suggested I use the regimen at home. I've been on a lot of topical prescriptions that did nothing for me. And though my face is far from perfect (especially the week before my period when new cysts crop up around my chin/lower cheek area), I've found Dermalogica to work better than most all the prescriptions I've had. It is expensive, but most of the products last a long time because you don't need to use that much. And when I use the Gentle Cream Exfoliant followed by the Anti-Bac Cooling Masque, the parts of my skin that ARE clear are soooo smooth and healthy looking. I think if I found something that worked better for clearing up my skin I would switch from the medicated products to whatever it was I found, but I would still want to use the Dermalogica cleansers, masks, and oil control lotion because they've worked great so far. Hope this helps!
I liked Dermalogica products while I used them, but in my experience, they were too expensive for what benefits they actually offered. They did not clear up my skin any better than other products, but the moisturizer was great and the cleanser was gentle.
I wouldn't discourage you from using them, but they were not the miracle that my esthetician claimed.

Some ingredients in mineral make up contain bismuth which break some people out.
