 Anyone Ever Have A Scar Excision?
I had a fairly good size boxcar/saucer (about 4-41/2 mm) scar almost center forehead. Just this morning my plastic surgeon performed an excision, and of course, since the wound is fresh, its pretty danged scary! The theory is you trade a less noticeable linear scar for the saucer scar. It is a verical wound about 1/2 inch long with major stitching at this point. It was also stitched inside with dissovables. He felt that since I haven't any horizontal lines in the spot that a vertical would be best, and least noticeable. I just want to know if anybody has had this type of excision, and if so, how was the outcome? I can't find any sort of before and after pics on the web, so I'm looking for experiences. I guess I just want to know this wasn't a mistake, and I'm trading a
better scar, or at least less noticeable one, for the old dished out one! Thanx for any info!
