| | ~Must Read~ Acne Plan - Diet, PURE soap & Calamine Cream
Hi, recently I had a conversation with a good friend about how my facial skin really upsets me and knocks the confidence straight out of me (especially when I go out and see myself in a mirror!). At first he did the typical friend thing of denying there's a problem with me and, just trying to make me feel better... (I know EVERYONE has these kind of friends!) but then, he offered me a tip that I'd never before heard of, and that was to use Calamine Cream.
I'd never even heard of the stuff, but he claimed he had some bad scars, not just from acne, and that after applying this cream everyday for a few weeks, it repaired and reduced the scarring effects significantly.
I was a little dubious, but today I decided to try it out and see how it works. I was wondering if anyone else had heard this, and if so maybe even tried it??
Another BRIEF thing I want to mention is a bar of soap available at Tesco's, it's their own brand it's simply known as Pure Soap (how soap can be pure beats me considering it's made from fatty substances!!) BUT on saying that I've been using it for the past year and really has reduced my condition from Moderate/Severe right down to Mild, and you tend to notice after about 6 weeks some really good effects!
Obviously the biggest factor is diet, and being a 19 year old male student I find it very difficult to maintain a healthy diet, however drinking 2 litres of water a day REALLY isn't THAT hard, combined with washing twice a day with pure soap, and then applying calamine cream at night hopefully I can reduce my minefield of a face down to something that makes me feel a LOT more confident.
I've set myself a month of this rigourous schedule and will keep the topic updated constantly so everyone who's interested knows how it goes. Also each week (or even when there's a significant change) i shall submit a face picture to give an idea of how well this plan is going.
