Cystic acne in 2nd month of accutane?
Hey guys...just wondering...
Has anyone gotten the cyctic acne while on the accutane treatment?
I have developed one on each side of my face...and I'm in the middle of my second month of accutane! I have been on 60mg/day from the begining...

I was on Accutane a few years ago, and I remember that weeks 6-8 seemed to get a little worse. Sometimes it gets worse because everything is working its way to the top. Just stick with it as long as that is the only problem you are having (meaning if you are having troubling emotional problems my advice might change).

The results from accutane are usually amazing.

CYSTIC acne, not a cyst....
And yes, cystic acne is why I am on accutane.

Anthony312, I had heard is got bad around month 2, but I didn't know it would be this much worse...but things are begining to clear up because of the accutane, if I were not on it the cystic acne would last for weeks or months at a time...And there are no emotional things...I am a little upset that I got more, but I know that it will work, so I am not too upset about it.

The point of accutane is that it gets worse before it gets better. I had terrible jawline cystic acne from about week 2 to week 6 of my treatment in both times I've taken it.

The simplistic way of looking at it is that the accutane is pushing out old rubbish from your system.
