Witch Hazel

How Do I use it? How often should I use it? And does anyone have any success stories about witch hazel?

Talk about witch hazel.

Oh I am looking to fade my redmarks and dry up a couple of minor pimples. Will this help? THanks

Re: Witch Hazel

I have never tryed witch hazel but if your looking to clear up redness and dry out pimples then the answer is "Fruit of The Earth" 100% Aloe Vera, or aloe vera directly from the plant. Worked wonders for me.

Re: Witch Hazel

I also read from one of the articles posted in a thread in this forum that it is really good at getting rid of excess oil.

Re: Witch Hazel

I use witch hazel to clean out the pores on my nose and it works great...much better than alcohol, which is too drying. I usually use it twice a week. I didn't notice it drying up any acne or getting rid of red spots.

Two things that work really well to help acne and improve skin tone are glycolic cleanser and Kinerase cream. I use both and they have worked wonders for me.

Hi,
I decided to try the witch hazel route a couple of month's ago and it really messed my skin up, I bought a tea tree and witch hazel cleanser which really removed the grime from my face but it was too astringent and my face became extremley oily and i started to break out much worse, This was probably due to the fact that i used a product containing witch hazel and not 100% witch hazel the product i used also contained some alcohol which is a definite no no as far as oily skin is concerned.
If you decide to go ahead try and find 100 % witch hazel and see how you get on after a couple of day's, some people swear by it but for me it just made matters worse.
I think it does help if you use it as a compress when you have a red and inflamed spot, just soak a cottonball in the stuff and pat it against the blemish for around 10 minutes.
Goodluck

Re: Witch Hazel

I dont believe Ive ever seen 100% witch hazel....they all contain 14% alcohol. It is supposed to be the most gentle thing out for astringent though. What type of glycolic cleanser are you talking about and where do you get kinerase cream?
