Exclamation Facial Masks, Anyone?

Hey y'all! Does anyone knows of any good masks to use for oily skin with moderate acne that do not cause breakouts or too dry or red skin? I have heard the Queen Helene's Mint Julep Mask is supposed to be good. Would it be good for the skin type I have mentioned? Does anyone have a homemade mask that they swear by? I would be grateful for the recipe if anyone does.
Thanx

Chickpea flour mask. Mix the chickpea flour with a bit of water until it forms a paste...Not too watery, not too hard...Leave it on for an hour or two, then rinse off...Do it twice weekly.

i love Dr. Peter Thomas Roth. He has these clay masks with eucalyptus in it. Amazing. You can also spot treat with them. A bit pricey, but worth it. $30...
I get mine at Sephora.

Re: Facial Masks, Anyone?

For the past few weeks I have been using an organic pumpkin mask from Zia. It is very very gentle and takes the dry skin right off to reveal very smooth skin. It is meant for oily acne-prone skin. My skin cleared up recently as a result of bcp changes, and this stuff really has helped in its own right! Plus, it is so gentle, you barely know it is exfoliating.

What type of bcp changes did you make?

Re: Facial Masks, Anyone?

I just switched to microgestrine from ovcon, and its made my face worse. But really my face wasn't my first priority for bcp, so I'm trying to find other ways to deal with that.
Since i've tried so many bcps, i think that the one that had the best effect on my face was ortho tri-cyclen, they say that any of the tri cyclens are good for acne.

Ortho has done nothing for me, maybe I should get yasmin.

Re: Facial Masks, Anyone?

hi!
i recently purchased "astara blue flame purifying mask" and i honestly think its working!! i dont really use it as an actual mask, but rather as an on-the-spot treatment. i get cystic acne usually one or two randomly underneath my skin and when i put a dab of it on before i go to sleep it is 10x better the next morning. i dont know.. it almost seems too good to be true, but im liking the results so far. i go to sleep with literally 10 blue dots all over my face at night (the mask is blue) ..only downfall is that its $37 for kind of a small jar but if u use it for only spot treating it should last a long time.. i bought it at sephora. has anyone else tried this?

Re: Facial Masks, Anyone?

I use a clay-based mask called Jade Purifying Mask (you can google it) - I also use it as a spot-based treatment rather than as a Mask. It also has "too good to be true" results.
I would strongly recommend it.
Love Sarah

A new company called Anthony Logistics for Men also has a pore cleansing clay. I have used it with good results in terms of my skin not being as oily.

Wink Re: Facial Masks, Anyone?

I will say one thing about the using clay on your face. It gets rid of natural oils on your skin so I only use it about 2x a week. Otherwise it does nothing but spread goodness all over my face.
