retin-a micro experience (good so far)

I started Retina-Micro seven weeks ago, and I was really nervous about it because I'd read that a lot of people had severe flaking, redness, and increased acne in the beginning. My side effects haven't been too bad at all -- I had some flaking in the second week and a couple days of really extreme flaking in the sixth week (but I've been using a good moisturizer and it got under control pretty quickly). I've gotten some pimples in the last few weeks (exactly as they say you will), but not too many and definitely not more than I was getting before I started the medication. They also go away pretty quickly. They say your skin will get clear anytime between week 7 and week 12, so now I'm just waiting for it to happen -- and I'm really pleased that the side effects have been so mild.

Before this, I'd tried Proactiv and Differin, both of which worked for me for about 6-8 months and then stopped working. I don't know if my skin builds up a tolerance, but hopefully that won't happen with the Retin-A Micro.

Re: retin-a micro experience (good so far)

Retin A didnt do anything for me. It just made my skin flaky, very red and at times mad my acne worse. Retin A was my last straw with acne products and now i have had to go on Roaccutane.
