In response to your first message: I put on the .1% retin-a micro last night and i woke up this morning with a sizable amount of dead skin on my mouth and chin area. Just going off of that I would say yes. Iv'e read that it helps to get rid of the dead skin below the surface of the skin and I've had a really good experience with it (besides the dead skin ) Cheerio!

Yes it is...makes the skin shed itself faster so newer clearer cleaner skin is exposed from underneath...can causea intail bad breakout in teh beginning wks of use as it pulls out the plugged pores...I'm uisng Differin gel which is also the same thing...very plesed with the results..has helped red marks fade greatly.

Re: is tretinoin an exfolliaint?

i dunno its ******* me off i use this bar of soap and it says it is special for acne with glycolic acid and i dunno it either makes my face dry or the skin is peeling.
is this a good thing is that what an exfoliant is suppose to do make your skin peel. explain how u get rid of hyperpigmenation quicker.

Re: is tretinoin an exfolliaint?

sorry but you guys are wrong, it is not an exfoliant. it works underneath your skin by making healthy skin cells that's why docs recommend it for wrinkles, in fact i think it's the only proven ingreident for wrinkles.

i used to think it was exfoliant too because of the dry and flaky skin i would get while on it (i'm using retin-a micro gel, the best ).
