Question Laser treatment for acne?

Has anyone tried this before?

I've had bad acne since I was around twelve (nearly seventeen now) and i'm sick of it. I've tried everything to get rid of my acne, which is one my face, back, shoulders and neck and nothing has worked. I saw a dermatologist at my local hospital for a few years and she prescribed me tons of medication for acne, and with some of the medication my skin would clear up a tiny bit, but would always go back to normal after a few weeks. Basically, after trying out all the medication she prescribed she decided there was noting else she could do for me, so I don't see her any more. Anyway, a year or so ago I watched a story on the news about some new laser procedure that was being used to "cure" acne, I tried to forget about it hoping the medication I was on at the time would clear my acne up instead. Then a week ago I read a small article in a magazine where this girl had the laser procedure and the before and after pictures showed an incredible difference. So naturally i'm interested in finding out more about this procedure. If someone could please answer the following questions:

1) What is involved?
2) What are the dangers of having this treatment?
3) How long does the procedure last for?
4) What are the average costs of the procedure?
5) Anyone have any good sites where I can find out some more information?

Off to do some googling now,

Thanks!

Nicola

Re: Laser treatment for acne?

I'm almost done with my laser treatment is called GALAXY laser treatment I have 3 more session to go. My results have been very good my acne is almost completely gone now I think that my diet has also helped well all in all I'm happy with the results now I move on to chemical peels and hope that my scars fade off. The Galaxy laser is made by Syneron you should do some research on the net good luck.

Re: Laser treatment for acne?

I forgot to answer your questions
This procedures consist of 16 laser treatments usually twice a week, there is no downtime and the cost is around 1500-2000 for the 16 session which also include 6 chemical peels or 6 dermabrassion depending on your skin. I would go to syneron to try to get more info on this
