Okay, I know you're supposed to wash your face 2x per day, but what if you exercise? Do you wash with cleaser again after you exercise? Do you reapply all your products? I've just started exercising in the mornings and, although I hate the idea of leaving the house without washing, I find myself wondering if I should wait to do my whole regimen until after I've finished working out. What do you think? What about if you exercise in the middle of the day or in the evening?
I never exercise during the middle of the day for that very reason - don't want to overwash my face.
If I exercise in the morning, I wait until after I've finished exercising to wash my face and get ready for the day (then again, I don't wash my face in the morning, I just splash with water; I only wash my face at night).
If I exercise at night, I do so right before I'm about to shower/get ready for bed, that way I'm never overwashing.
Then again, I don't leave my house to exercise. I find room in my house to do it...I find I exercise better when I'm alone...So I'd recommend possibly doing that for you, too...See if you can find some space to privately exercise with the use of music/exercise DVDs or VHS's...

If your exercising in the morning then exercise and then wash yourself. If it's in the afternoon then wash your face after you exercise. You don't want bacteria to start reproducing and have all those toxins all over your face.
I only wash my face with a cleanser twice a day...morning and night. If you want to wash it after you exercise, just use water. If you overwash it can cause more problems. I exercise and afterwards just use water, and it works just fine.
I would exercise right when you get up and then wash your face. You should never really exercise and then leave without washing your face. If you really have to exercise in the middle of the day, just wash your face with a gentle cleanser after wards.
I exercise in the middle of the day. If i have just been hanging around and haven't put on any makeup, i just rinse my face before I exercise. It I have make up I wash my face before I exercise. (so that would be my second washing of the day) And I would also wash my face at night. I don't think it's a problem if you wash your face three times a day. Just use moisterizer. Cetaphil is a very gentle cleanser, but doesn't take make up off very well. Use that if you dont' have any make up on. If you do have make up on, use Johnson and Johnson Purpose wash (clean and clear senstive skin wash has the EXACT same ingredients and is cheaper, by the way). I do not reapply my klaron lotion because i think that it has been on enough during the day. You want to wash your face before you exercise because you don't want a bunch of crud getting into your poors when you sweat. You also want to exercise after because you don't want the sweat to sit on your face.
hello, I think washing you're face 3 times a day is to much, chances are it could make you're acne worse. The best thing you can do is wash it once a day with a mild soap/face wash. ( what ever suits you're skin ) I find cussons imperial leather classic bar soap the best, as it is made out of natural ingridients. You could apply johnsons baby lotion and rub in till completley absorbed, and then clenase you're face with wich hazel and cotton wool pads. you could try that 3 times a day. But personally I think using soap once a day is plenty, as if you use soap to much it will cause over production of sebum oil which is the cause of acne.
I wash my face 3 times a day. I feel I have no choice but to do so because I have to wear makeup to school and come noon my face feels so uncomfortable and cakey. I wash it off with a Dove cleansing cloth and then at night with the shower I use a separate medicated cleanser. I do the same thing in the morning too. *sigh* sucks having acne.
