Will soda/fast food/chocolate really trigger acne?

I know everyone says it is an old wive's tale, but over the weekends where I eat a lot more junk food, I get more acne on Monday. Yesterday I drank 3-4 sodas and broke out horribly. Do you think it's connected? Is there any other foods or drinks that do the same to you?

Sugary foods raise insulin levels which can trigger acne and greasy foods slice right through prostaglandins which reglate hormone levels.

Soda breaks me out too - as does alcohol and bread.

Its the sugar, it messes up with your intestine and your body can't process its food so all the food just sits there and rots and releases all those toxins into your body. Urgh, pretty disgusting, huh?!

Yes! Everytime I binge on chocolage or anything sugary, I will get a new cyst or a two a few days later.

Diet caused my acne. Glad I figured that out.

What was the catalyst for your realization that acne was breaking you out? How has your diet changed? Has it helped?

So when you say, "go macro", what does that mean? Like, stop eating processed foods altogether? Or just stop eating chocolate, candy, and drinking soda?
