I honestly think natrual salt water from the ocean is one of the best things going to get rid of acne. It's a natrual astringent, when I went swimming every day when I was in greece my acne vanished in a few days. I think the salt water from eastern countrys is best, that has a high level of salt in it and is free from polution. next time I am on holiday I might bottle some of it.
I am suprised that no companies have brought out any sea/salt water topical solutions to be honest. ?????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????????????? ????????????????????????
I find this is true too. I always clear up if I go on vacation to a nice beach.
I've always noticed this too. There was a period of 5 years or so where I would go to the Gulf of Mexico every year. EVERY time I went my acne would COMPLETELY clear up. I don't know if it was the exposure to the sun, salt water, or the air/atmosphere. I know that I never really went under the water when i was in the ocean, so I don't think it is the salt water.
use celtic sea salt and rub GENTLY on your face. then wipe it off lightly with a wet washcloth. same effect. works wonders.
hello, where can you buy this celtic sea salt, can you buy it from health shops? and is it expensive? also would normal seasalt from the supermarket work??
regards beatboxkid
you can buy it at any health food store. its pretty inexpensive...just a few bucks for maybe 1/4 of a pound. its lasted maybe 2 months now?? i use only a tiny amount. i would assume normal sea salt would work but the one that i got was a little "damp" to begin with and it is not white...more like a sand colored, grayish, beige color. the reason it is still a bit wet is that its not completely dried out and refined. don't use table salt...that's devoid of minerals.
I dont have acne, but as a preventative measure I use a spray bottle with warm water and sea salt (bought at the regular grocery store). I spray it on myself, after I shower and let it dry on my skin. I do get a pimple on my face from time to time, but not when I'm using the spray!
