Re: does jojoba clog pores

Jojoba oil help to moisturize extra dry and flaky skin
Pure Jojoba Oil can be used to assist in fighting wrinkles and extra dry and old skin as well as skin plagued with many other ailments or problems. It assists in minimizing lines and wrinkles and will actually help rejuvenating the skin and new cell growth as well sorting out problem skin, without clogging the skin with greasy mess.

Jojoba oil will not block pores, cause blackheads or promote acne.
It is suspected that jojoba oil "tricks" the skin into stopping the production of sebum through somehow mimicking sebum. This also means that jojoba oil will assist in breaking down sebum in plugged-up pores. Sebum and jojoba oil will mix readily without sealing off the skin pores.

Dermatologists have also reported jojoba oil's non-irritating use for acne. Other materials such as mineral oil can cause anaerobic microbial growth and inflammation redness and swelling in and around pores. Jojoba oil will not cause blackheads that contribute to acne.

I haven't found it in any stores. I've been looking for it everywhere. I saw a commercial for Nivea that has vitamin E an jojoba oil but I'm not sure if that'll do the same.

P.S.- I don't know if you know but it's pronounced ho-ho-ba oil just incase you go asking for it.

I buy mine at a store called the Vitamin Shoppe - I buy their brand. So if you have any of those stores around they carry it. It comes in a decent sized bottle (not itty bitty) and is golden in color.

Re: does jojoba clog pores

Which is better for dry skin, tamanu oil or jojoba oil? I have dry skin from Differin, and right now the moisturizer I use at day makes my face look greasy. I was wondering if either of these oils are good moisturizers without making my face look shiney/greasy. Also, which one is better for scars?
