HELLO PEOPLE, I have recently found out that soap can make acne worse, depending on you're skin type. What soap does is strip you skin of sebum oill which causes acne, but the then what you're body/skin does is produce more and more sebum oil as the soap you're using keeps striping you skin of oil completley. As a result of this routine you're skin produces far to much sebum oil and the result ends up in more and more pimples.
There was a time a few years back I didnt use to use soap to wash. I just used warm water and then cold water. After washing I would apply dalacin topical solution, which you can't get anymore. You can get the dalacin lotion which is meant to be the same, but for me it doesnt work for some reason??
Any how I have decided not to use soap on my face any more. My routine now is to
1)wash my face/neck with warm and then cold water in the shower once a day.
2)pat my face/neck completle dry and apply aloe vera and cucumber lotion, and rub in till it's completley absorbed.
3) then I cleanse my face and neck with a cleanser I made myself ( I made it out of light perfumed after shave and normal liquid wich hazel. I filled a 200ml bottle with 100ml aftershave and 100ml wich hazel, 50% aftershave 50% wich hazel). I use about 4 pads to cleanse my face and neck, and I repeat this process twice a day. I dont bother washing my face with warm and cold water twice a day though as I find it to much hassle, especially first thing in the morning!!!

ps I have submited over threads on skin routines that I have done, and they have worked, but sooner or later acne seems to come back and I try over routines. This routine I have described in this thread seems to be working so far for me.
If you think soap is making you're acne worse give this routine ago
