Plucking eyebrows while on topicals... hair doesn't grow back???

To anyone who is on topical prescriptions for acne, ie Tazorac, Retin-A, Differin, etc:

When you pluck your eyebrows, do you notice a difference? Since topicals, my plucked eyebrow hairs have NOT grown back. I had a wax a few years back on Differin, and I had ugly red scars afterward - but the hairs grew back! It looked as though I was plucking the whole root out.... what's up with this?

Yeah, some of my eyebrow hairs don't grow back. I didn't think it was due to the topicals though....interesting.

I apply it there because I get pimples there. If I pluck my eyebrows and I get a cut there then a pimple will come out there. I have a very sensitive face that cannot be cut anywhere.

Well, topicals DEFINATELY affect your eye brow area even if it is not directly applied there. Many waxing places won't touch eye brows when a person is using topicals, but that's just because the layer of skin there is so thin, the wax rips till it reaches the red layers. Can't figure out how my roots could have been affected though... thanks for the replies

Re: Plucking eyebrows while on topicals... hair doesn't grow back???

I used to go a little bit "tweezer happy" on my brows...causing me to get ingrown hairs and acne around my eyes. Since last October, I have been growing them out. Things look a lot more natural now, it is easier to maintain, and I didn't have any problems growing the hair back. I just used eyebrow pencil to fill in the newer spots so that they didn't look messy!

BTW, I use Differin Cream now, but I used to use Duac. If you use Duac or anything with BP in it, be careful putting it on hair/eyebrows because it can kinda bleach it out at the tips!
