Roaccutane

Hi all. I am on week 4 of Roaccutane, I don't care what anyone says, this is the only thing that works. I have got away with the side effects so far apart from dryness and my face is nearly clear. My back and chest keep having break outs but I expected that. I have been drinking on it a couple of times which is silly so won't be doing it again!

I would recommend Roaccutane to anyone!

Re: Roaccutane

What is suppose to happen if you drink? I have a few times but haven't noticed anything unusual.

Re: Roaccutane

Just don't drink to much, the Accutane stresses your liver enough

Re: Roaccutane

Is Roaccutane the generic? Does one work as well as the other? Are they made by the same company? My derm does not want me to take the generic. I had the horrible thought that she must have some deal worked out with Roche

Both Roaccutane and Accutane are the name brand made by Roche. It is distributed as Accutane in the USA and as Roaccutane in other parts of the world. Same company, different names.

Generic accutane includes:
Sotret
Isohexal
Oratane
Accure
Isotrex
Amnesteem
Claravis

They are all isotretinoin and are just as effective as the brand names. Really the only difference is that the generics cost a lot less. They all have the same active ingredient.
I am on 60mg Amnesteem and have no complaints.

Hope this helps

Re: Roaccutane

I dunno what is supposed to happen when you drink but I have been alright. However, I have spoken to soon as I have had a breakout today. Is this breakout the initial one? (I'm in week 4 nearly)
