Does anyone know how to fade the dark spots left behind after a blemish finally goes away? Has anyone tried the fade creams for this? Makeup does not really cover these spots very well.

i am in the same boat. i do not have many actual pimples now after taking some stuff but i have brown/red marks on my face that i hate! they won't go away. i recently got Azelex ( i have been using it for 2 weks) and i haven't seen a huge difference if any but then again it's hard to see a difference looking at it everyday..i think it takes awhile too though- i am hoping this azelex cream works.

I've always wondered why the skin turns brown after some blemishes.......... does anyone know exactly? I mean we could say there is a rush of melanin to the area or something like that, but why? Why are other ones sometimes pink, red or no color change at all?

What I do is exfoliate ALOT, and put benzoyl peroxide to try and bleach it. Eventually they do go away but it takes a while.

AHA products are great for this.
I would recommend the Alpha Hydrox lotion with 10% AHA.
Its great for getting rid of marks.
Get the Alpha Hydrox enhanced lotion.
They sell it in Rite Aid and Eckerd.
Its like 12 bucks.
You can use it for the face and body

some of my spots left marks behind also. Echinacea cream did the trick for me and quite quickly i might add...
