Age:26 started when i was 15. started slow, when i was 17 it got real bad. i went to a dermatoligist. started with retina-a, then tried try. then went on accutane. however since i was a sissy, and didnt like to get blood taken i quit after 1.5 months.
then i just didnt care about my skin, and went threw a long depression.
i have long hair and a beard to cover up some of the acne.
My dad is 55 and still has acne. My sister is 19 she had it real bad when she was 16. she wears so much makeup, but you can still see the bumps. My other sister is 24. she has pretty much perfect skin. she uses sylicic acid pads. And if she doesnt she may get one small people on her forehead a month.
My mother only got them when she was pregnant. im not sure about her childhood.
I'll be 39 in July. I've had moderate acne since my early teens. Nothing has ever helped except being pregnant. It's never been REALLY bad though & I can cover it with makeup, so I never went as far as Accutane or oral antibiotics, I just didn't want the risks since it wasn't super cycstic or anything.
I'm 21. I had very mild acne as a teenager, and just started breaking out with worse acne this past year. My brothers had acne during highschool, but not as severe as I do now, and theirs has gone away.
Age 21. Male. First pimple was around the age of 15. It started off mild and by the age of 17, it was extremely severe. So many nasty whiteheads. I used countless amounts of cleansers and pads, etc. and nothing would help. I went to the dermatologist twice and used prescription meds for around a year, still nothing. I also tried Murad's acne kit, did nothing. I've been using ProActiv since maybe July of '04. It has definitely helped a bunch. I'll get a zit or two here and there, sometimes none, sometimes I'll get a nasty one, but it has definitely helped a ton nonetheless. I still have kinda dry skin though.
I'm 25 and never broke out except for the occasional "zit" until I was 19. It started on my forehead and when I was about 21 it progressed onto my cheeks and got to the point where I didn't want to leave the house..
At 23 I decided to go to school to be an esthetician to learn to fix my skin and help others. It's still a battle but far more under control then it was in the past.
AGE:21 Acne started at:20
I'm fairly new to this whole thing. I had beautiful perfect skin until I got off my birth control pill for 3 months to lose a little weight. I never even knew I had acne hiding in my body somewhere.
I'm 24 and I got my firs zit at 10. It's gotten progressively worse since then. In the past couple years, its gotten alot worse. I don't know what it's like to have clear skin. Hopefully one day I will find out
Started mild acne at age 11. Stayed very mild until age 20. After I had my 3rd baby. Had been getting worse and worse with every new thing I tried, prescription or not. Turned severe cystic. 22(almost 23) now, and in the middle of my 4th month on accutane. The only thing that has worked for me.
Age 48.I had acne in my very early 20s went on accutane then it disappeared for yrs afterward. Then it came back in my middle 30s,had it ever since.Differin didnt work for me but,retin-a mirco seems to be working better for me.
