Hello everyone. I have been using retin-a micro 0.1% for a few months now, and not until recently have I been seeing some good results. I still have some acne and I get new ones every now and then. The only problem I have with retin-a is that it makes my skin really dry and sometimes redness. I sometimes skip a few days just to relieve my skin with moisturizers. I was wondering if Differin is just as effective in clearing skin, and would it be a good alternative? Ive heard that differin is milder, but I am not sure if it is as effective. Has anybody have had good results with either? Thanks in advance for any suggestions
I would say no, differin is not as effective. I was on differin before retin a micro and obviously it wasn't working if I stopped using it. I put on moisturizer after I put on my retin a micro, you could try that. The medicine will still work, although it will be diluted a little bit. I use cetaphil moisturizer in a tub. Its very creamy and I love it. Give that a try.
