Unhappy This isn't good

theres nothing i can do to fix it. iíve tried the course of Oxytetracycline 3 times now. Clindamicyn topical appears to have stopped working. Everything that i buy OTC seems to just waste my money. i canít cover it up as i get spots in all the places on my face that i donít have facial hair. its never looked this bad. why me. i had completely clear skin until i was about 22 and since then, the last two years its been rubbish. its ruining my life. i feel so insecure, i'm not leaving the house.

Are you a girl or boy: I'm asking so as that I can advise you accordingly?

Re: This isn't good

The thing is, i actually feel quite bad about feeling the way i do. Its really not as bad as some cases i've seen or heard about. At the moment i only have two active spots on my boat race. I have a few red marks which are pretty much as bad as active spots when you look in the mirror. I don't think that makes me any less deserved of treatment though... just because its not svere acne, doesn't mean it doesn't have severe effects on my confidence and day to day life. I'm depressed about it. The thing is, i do TV work a lot, and yeah, you get a lot of tv make up etc, but i still dread the zoom-ins when ever i'm on... i need to get this teenage skin stopped!

Re: This isn't good

Be very persistent and suggest accutane low dose . Dont let your derm give you some topical that will only irratate you more. I have tired virtually every topical on the market and I am also a perfctionist when it comes to my skin I hate zits more then anything. My fav oral was accutane and topical is azelex acid ask for both of those. Minocycline and other tetros dont work and stain your teeth. Erythromycin not too effective either. I am on oral erythromycin now because Im pg but once i give birth im right back on accutane. Its very standard for people to take low dose accutane for long periods of time. Many people are on it for rosacea. Also many models take low dose for long terms too because the side effects are so much less severe.
