I have these little red bumps on my right upper thigh and back behind the knee. They are small and red but they have a tiny white center. They don't pop like a pimple and they go away pretty fast. Are they just ingrown hairs? I have only had pimples on my face and only moderate but never any on my body. Should I change razors? Or just not shave for a few days and see what happens?
babygirl, those are most likely ingrown hairs, like you thought. i used to get them a lot, and found that regular exfoliation, with a loofah or something like that, before shaving, and application of an aha lotion after kept my young thighs nice and smooth, front and back. now i'm old, so i don't worry so much! *lol*
It could also be foliculitis. The most common places for it is on the tops of your thighs and arms.
I've got it on my arms and am going to see the doctor in the morning.
I had it REALLY bad like about 15 years ago and finally got rid of it and then all of the sudden a few days ago it is baaaccckkkk!
That is good that your body is strong enough to get rid of it by itself. If you ever find yourself struggling with it, you should try washing with Dial soap, definitely change your razor blades during the times that you are broken out, and don't take hot soaking baths.
