Cool Accutane and exfoliating
Hi, I am on my 8th week of accutane and I was curious as to whether using an exfoliant and toner will aggravate my skin? Before I started the accutane, i used a face wash and then an exfoliant and then a toner but im apprehensive about using it now for fear that it'll further dry out my skin and cause me to break out more. Does anyone on accutane still exfoliate or use a toner? Thanks!

You do not need to exfoliate when using accutane. It will only further irritate your skin. Just a gentle cleanser and moisturizer/sunscreen is all you need.

no toner.

the other day i just really had to exfoliate b/c my skin was looking so dull. i took st. ives apricot scrub, but i mixed it with dove sensitive skin body wash (more dove than scrub) so it was very gentle. the best part is, it didn't help the ruddiness of my skin at all. argh!
