Hey, my derm gave me a prescription for retin-a micro .1%, and he also gave me some samples of the .04% to hold me over until I got the RX filled. So for a week I used the samples and it dried out my skin and it flaked and and it heated my skin and **** like usual. but then when I got the .1% from the pharmacy I noticed the gel was a different opaqueness of yellow and when I use it it doesn't dry my face out. I'm curious if the stuff from the pharmacy was somehow corrupted. I don't even feel heat when I put the .1% stuff on my face and it's more than twice as powerfull as the .04%. Anybody else have a conundrum like this?

I'm still using the samples of retin-a micro .04% that my derm gave me, and it looks like the color that you discribed the .1% to be. That is really strange that the .04% would irritate your skin more than the .1%. I'm not having any irritation with the .04%, just some flaking. Was the sample retin-a .04% and not retin-a micro .04%? I heard that the micro is less irritating than just plain retin-a.

hello i am using retin-a there are two different kinds retin-a and retin-a-micro. retin-a is a white color and retin-a-micro is a yellow color. and also retin-a-micro is kinda jelly paste and retin-a is a white lotion like medicine. i hope this has helped you.
