Post Clindoxyl Gel or Smoothbeam Laser ???

Hi All ,
i went to the doc about my acne for the first time , ive had it since i was in my teens and i just turned 25 . I would say i have mild maybe mild2moderate ... for some reason i have a few more then ussual popping up as its been super hot in toronto Canada for the last little while. anyway i had basically 2 options ... and thats this topical gel called Clindoxyl Gel or i could do the Smoothbeam Laser ... Im just wondering what results people had with either of these 2 methods. I picked the Gel for now just to see if it worked as the smoothbeam costs a LOT MORE! but ultimately the money doesnt matter ... i just want something that works.
Should i go ahead an use the Gel for a month or so and see if it works or should i just skip it and go for the laser???

Any Input would be great!
Thanks

CG

Re: Clindoxyl Gel or Smoothbeam Laser ???

My niece got Smoothbeam Laser treatment, she went for about 6 treatments. She was disappointed with the results, infact she did'nt find any improvement and found it to be quite costly.

Re: Clindoxyl Gel or Smoothbeam Laser ???

I did Smoothbeam as well when I had mild acne and saw NO results. NONE. What a waste of time and money!!! I was soooo upset. And it hurts like crazy, even with numbing cream on my face it still felt like someone was tattooing my skin with a needle. I can't believe they are even allowed to market this as something that helps acne, I personally think it's a scam and have never once heard of anyone having any luck with it. Do a search for it on this board, you will see that nearly everyone who did it wishes they had saved their money!

Re: Clindoxyl Gel or Smoothbeam Laser ???

I had smoothbeam done a number of times, and while on a consistent schedule, it worked wonderfully. However, now that I have not had a smoothbeam treatment for 3 months, my skin has returned to its normal acne prone state. So from my experience, smoothbeam works temporarily but not in the long run.
