When You Go On Accutane You're Skin Breaks Out Really Badly In The Beginning, Will Going On Birth Control With It Lesser The Badly Broken Out Skin? Because Birth Control Is Used For Acne Too, So Would It Reduce The Effects?

It's normal for the skin to get worse before it gets better. Most Accutane users will tell you that.

It's silly to use birth control in hopes of alleviating the initial breakout.

Well, you have to be on 2 forms of birth control before you can start Accutane and usually one of them is the pill. So, why not choose one that MIGHT help with your acne also. It couldn't hurt. I don't see anything silly about that.

You're right. I totally wasn't considering that birth control was required for Accutane users. See what happens when you should be in bed and not reading health boards!

Nonetheless, I don't know how helpful it will be against initial breakouts since both drugs can make things worse at first. But that's neither here nor there.
