| is it time to check hormone levels?
I really dont understand why I have acne. My entire family has beautiful skin.
My started at 19. I had painful cystic acne. after doses of doxycycline and tazorac, it cleared up. then 2 years later, it started up again, but we caught it in time and treated it with retin-a micro and ortho tri cyclen.
Now, its getting oily again and the whole horrible cycle is gonna repeat itself again. I get my pimples mainly on my chin and lower cheek area.
It's also mega worse during my period! I'm wondering if I should ask about getting my hormone levels checked out. Is this expensive? I wonder if insurance will cover. Will my demo. think im ridiculous?
