Question MilkThistle anyone?

Hi again,
One more thing I wanted to ask. I have been reading a lot about the benefits of Milk Thistle. It is supposed to help your liver, and a poorly functioning liver somehow causes acne problems. It sounds weird, but anyone know anything about this?

Re: MilkThistle anyone?

I've heard the same thing. Milk thisle does help breakdown toxins within the liver to help promote healthy functioning. I have been on milk thisle for a while now. If you are taking antibiotics the other thing that helps protect the intestinal flora (for good bacteria) and aid in digestion is acidophilus. It is a pro-biotic.

Re: MilkThistle anyone?

Turtlemoon,
Thanks for the reply. Have you noticed any improvement since you have been taking the milk thistle?

Twenty quid? What a rip! I've currently got a 60-day supply that I picked up from a discount pharmacy for AU$29 (about 9 GBP).

Milk Thistle is a powerful antioxidant, which is why it's meant to be so good for the liver (and your skin). I take mine in conjunction with cod liver oil capsules and find that the overall condition of my skin is much happier (for want of a better term).

Re: MilkThistle anyone?

My daughter started Milk Thistle about 3 months ago, and has noticed a difference in her skin, not totally cleared up, but much better, she is going to continue on 200mg day

Re: MilkThistle anyone?

i tried milk thistle, didn't give it enough time to work because I started to become impotent, which i read afterwards was a possible side effect.
