My skin has been clear for a while. The other night I was feeling particularly thirsty and I drank carbonated water throughout the night - I woke up with five red bumps on my cheek and chin - I can't think of anything else that was new in my regime/diet/lifestyle. Anyone have a problem with this water?
Was it a flavored water? If so, the sugar may have exacerbated your skin. Otherwise, it is highly unlikely that carbonated pure water would cause problems.
I've actually heard of that before, someone said that they broke out after they drank carbonated water...I can't imagine why but I thought I would share that it's not just you.
The only thing I can think of is that you have digestive difficulties, which contribute to your acne. Thus, by drinking carbonated water, which by its very nature is very gassy, may not have had the best effect on your digestive system.
Thanks guys for all your replies. The type of water I drank were those "naturally flavored" ones. They claim not to have sugar but they taste pretty sweet and they also have a lot of the 'gas' - even more than pepsi or coke. I'm convinced it was the water - of course that's now off my diet - it was the first time I ever tried it! Too bad. It takes so good and I was thinking - "great, I'm drinking water not soda and it tastes so good!"
