What's worked for me
I haven't been having any problems with acne lately but I remember combing these boards looking for the cure. Right now I am using differin/minocycline which by itself is not effective at all. The main difference in the last 9 months is that I have been getting a good amount of sun. Acne is gone and you get a nice tan to boot. I really don't think that the differin and minocycline are doing much if anything I'm just so happy with my skin right now I'm scared to stop. For anybody experiencing ongoing problems with acne just increase your sun exposure and see if that helps.

Many of us agree with you! While tanning does not "cure" acne, it definitely makes it more bearable....watch out though, as soon as you mention sun/tanning on here you get attacked by the anti-tanners that will warn you of the dangers of cancer.

No matter what you believe in, creation of evolution, either way we started out naked in the bare sun for years and years. I highly doubt ancient man got skin cancer. It most likely comes from overexposure after periods of very little exposure. Of course if you work in an office everyday, when you go to the beach for a week on vacation you will get burned. Your body just isn't used to the sun anymore.

yea...but we didn't have mino & differin in our systems.

i've heard that it's especially bad for you to use minocyline and then expose yourself to the sun a lot.

The white races get skin cancer from the sun because guess what, white races don't belong in the sun- they belong in the north- like in europe- where they have less skin cancer (I'm talking about stuff like SCC and BCC which are related to sun exposure).
The highest amout of skin cancer is the white people of Australia- the indogenous people of Australia of course don't get skin cancer.
Not everything good comes from colonization...
No offense to any of our ancestors who might be reading this...

Thousands and thousands of years ago when man first started out our ozone layer wasnt depleted tremendously by irresponsible humans either. If it was still in tact we wouldnt get near the amount of harmful uv rays and skin cancer would probably be alot more rare.
