Dermatologist rubs her fingers on my face every visit
Why does she do this? I HATE THAT! Every time I see her I come in and I'm way better than before last visit, but then she rubs my most vulnerable/succeptible area with acne with her fingers. Why? Does every dermatologist do this? I had virtually no problem zits before that visit then afterward I have zits all over where she touched. I am not going to see her anymore and I am definitely cancelling my next appointment six months from now.

I've never asked her, but she ALWAYS does it! I cannot tell you how mad I get when she does it because I KNOW a few days after I'll have a huge breakout in the areas she touched.

no but it can irritate the skin. Her oils on her fingertips and the fact that she rubs it can't exactly help. She doesn't wear a glove though...does your derm wear one BLibertyS?

My derm. just gently tilts my face up to the light to look it over. And then he looks at both sides of my face. He might touch it once or twice but not very much. I love my derm. though! I think maybe you should switch derms. I went through 2 before I found this one! He is so nice and he got me to where I am 95% clear! I think you will know when you find the one you really like.

No..mine doesn't wear a glove either. I was kinda suprised that he did this when I first started going to him, but he's helped me tons more than my last derm so I figured I'd just deal with it. But that's just because it's not making me any worse...if it's bothering your skin maybe you could say something to her about it.

yea, you could ask her why she does it? and that you could mention that you break out when she touches your face a few days after the visit? doesn't she wear gloves?, if not i think she should, and i'm sure she knows she should, or maybe she should wash her hands throughly straight after whatever she's done before seeing you...
