Benzoyl Peroxide/Retin-A causes scars to turn red!!!!!!

I have been using these( BP in the morning, retin-a at night) and my face is doing much better, but I out it on it starts to burn, and to peel, and my scars look dark red, has anyone else had this happened to them, if so, how do I get rid of the redness???? thanx a lot

I too was on BP in the morning and Retin-a at night. Although I didn't get peeling skin I did get tremendous amount of red skin. I just had to wait it out and like 8 months after the redness got to the point where it was pretty much always there it has pretty much gone away. I did switch from my old shaving gel to the Gillette Skin Care system shaving brand and I think it has played a huge role the last 4 months of using it. Shaving can irritate the skin so much it's not funny so any little bit helps if you are a guy that needs to shave.
