Hello Everyone!
There isn't alot of information on this forum for what I am looking for, so here's my problem.
I have acne on my bum. I have had it for several years, in fact, since I was very young. I am now 19 years old. You can image how much this has tortured me. I have been with my boyfriend for 2 years now, and he has never seen my naked bum in the light. I am just too embarrassed. There are times when the breakouts are so bad I wont even let him touch me there. The pimples can be anything from little red dots, to whiteheads and even deep "blind" ones. I have tried alot of things. I thought if I simply exfoliated to remove dead skin, that would help. Not much difference. I have tried alot of things like Salicylic Acid, and even BP. I don't know what else to do. When I go to the gyno, I am affraid she will see some of them. I am too ashamed to go to the doctor to get it looked at.
What should I do? This is diminishing my sex life with someone I love dearly!!!

I had the same thing start happening to me last month and I have tried everything. Recently I started using polysporin and covering each spot with a small band-aid to insure the medicine isn't wiped away. It seems to be helping and there are no new pimples. I am not sure what caused this because I have never had this problem before but I can relate to how embarrassing it is.

Is this an epidemic? I've seen this post on about a dozen skin care message boards. Always the "bum". How about the backs of your legs? I have to wonder if it has anything to do with the seasons changing, people wearing more clothes after the summer, going back to work and sitting a lot more, and having sweaty bums. Now that you mention it, I have a gonzo zit right at the bottom of my left bum-cheek. Found it last night while pulling out a wedgie during Larry King. I've been sitting a lot at work lately and immediately blamed that. About ten years ago I used "Boil Ease" for a big pimple that I had so long that I named it "Hillary" for obvious reasons. It worked fine.
