my derm. gave me tazorac (this stuff is EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE!!!) im wondering if its sort of like retin a....which ive used for years. any input or stories of experience is greatly appreciated! thankyou!!
yeah, my insurance won't fully cover it and I had to go through hoops to get the prescription filled, so I never started it. I did use a sample of it that my doc gave me, but I'm at the point in my life where I am sick of trying prescriptions so I never stuck with it..
Taz did not help me, nor did Retin-A. I find good results with Minocyclin. But is it good to take an antibiotic long-term? Probably not. Personally Taz did ZERO for me. I was worried, too, b/c the derm gave strict instructions in adding Taz slowly into my daily routine. Did nothing for me.
im into my 2 week of using TAZ and so far, im not seeing any drastic results...my skin has started to peel and my spots are SLOWLY fading, but its definately taking its time in working...no, taking antibiotics long term isnt good for you, i was on mino for a few months...i bet if i took mino and TAZ that i would probably get some good results, so i might ask to be back on that regimen since i cant afford accutane right now, clearER skin is better than what i have right now.....
