Doryx 100 MG tablets - Acne Message Board

Hi,

My doctor gave me these Doryx 100MG tablets. I think I possibly am supposed to take them twice a day, but i've just been taking one per day after lunch each day. It's been about a week, and I got 1 zit above my lipline, so i am wondering, am I supposed to take them both in the morning and evening or is it ok that I just take one per day?

Also anyone else with experience with this medicine. I know some of you might be taking other things with it, so please explain what I can expect.
I'm just taking the Doryx at this time.

I am taking Doryx 75mg for almost 6 months and my pimples did flatten but now has a red scar that is fadding very slowly. I take it 2x/day normally but once in a while, I forget and only once/day. My derm told me to take it with a full glass of water. I take doryx with a prescribed topical and thats about it.

Funny, I had a zit on my upper lipline before too, but my dermo popped it for me since it was bothering me.

thanks for the reply. I noticed that it does work kind of so far, but that healing of my areas is now like soooooooooo slow. my marks used to go away entirely after like 2-3 days. Now it's like a week and still there...

is this permanent or when i get of the antibiotics, then things are good again?
I'm also worried about if I don't take the proper dose i.e. 2X a day, i won't be able to rid the zits as intended.

My doctor prescribed 100 mg twice a day (preferably every 12 hours).
