My Wedding is June 7th, 2003 so next week. And I have big zits all the time, How knows the best way to get rid of them?? I need my face clear for the wedding. Or else I'll be embarrassed to face people at my own wedding. Thank you.
There's no way to get perfect skin in a weeks time, but you can attempt to get it decent looking for your wedding...
I'd recommend steaming your face with boiling hot water and a few drops of apple cider vinegar in it. Put a towel over your head to catch all the steam. After 5-10 mins of that your pores should be cleaned out. Pat dry, then I would apply Topical acne treatments, BP for example. This would be the fastest way to treat them, good luck.
Firstly, I really sympathize with your situation. I worry about that myself. To be honest, I wouldn't do ANYTHING to your face until after the wedding--if you try different things, you may end up breaking out worse or having a reaction. Also, b/c you are wanting immediate results, you may end up doing more harm that good. I would just continue what you're doing and maybe dab a little BP on your face to clear up what you do have a little faster.
A small dose of cortisone tablets gives a dramatic quick fix (for me the results were pretty amazing, though temporary). when prescribing them for me, my derm mentioned that they're good for people with important functions such as weddings...and you'd only have to take them a week prior to the wedding, or even half a week prior to it. Perhaps ask your doc or derm.
you could also go to your derm and he/she could inject cortizone into the pimples. since cortizone is an anti-inflammatory, it will help reduce the inflamation that is caused by the pimples. the doctor I work for did that for me a few weeks ago and the next day the bumps were gone Good Luck and Congrats!
I was in a similiar situation except i was the best man in my brothers wedding. My derm gave me steroids that i had to start taking like 4 days before. I was completely clear the day before the day of and the day after the wedding.
if your hormanal acne and especially if your male... no sex/mastubation 2 weeks before the big date

**TRY NOT TO STRESS TOO MUCH.** Major stress over a wedding could cause TERRIBLE oily skin and breakouts.
My sister had the same problem, except for her it was her high school graduation (she was also the salutatorian and had to make a speech). shes always had mild to moderate acne but the stress over her speech and getting her face clear caused the ABSOLUTE WORST breakouts shes ever had. that was 2 years ago and she still has deep scars from them.
Thank you very much for the replies...right now I'm trying the Mary Kay Acne Gel...I just started it yesterday..They promised me that it will work. I have mild acne which is not bad. just a couple pimples here and there. But I think I shouldn't try something new like one of the girls said. My face is really sensitive and I would hate for it to be worse. So What I started to do was not wear any make up on my face and wash it 2 times a day with Mary kay...I'm also putting on a mask once a week. Thank ya'll for the advice I'll keep these thing in mind for the future.
