Post It BURNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I forgot that everyone talks about 100% pure tea tree oil & I ended up buying something different. I bought something called "Thoroughly Clean Face Wash with Organic Tea Tree Oil & Awapuhi" made by (Desert Essence.) I came home, washed my face with it and almost bounced off the walls. This stuff made my skin burn SO BAD I thought I was having an allergic reaction to it. Does the actual 100& Tea Tree Oil burn?

I also put moisturizer on my face for the first time today. I never did it before because I was scared it would clog my pores. 1 hour after putting it on, my face looked like I dumped a cup of cooking oil on it so, so much for that!

This stuff that I washed my face with today made my skin red for an hour. I think I waisted my money!

lol, i like the subject line.

yes tea tree oil burns. even diluted it stings the skin similar to benzoyl per. imo. i don't like it because it esp @ 100% b/c it makes the zit kinda scab over and get red and it dry the surrounding skin pretty badly with repeated use on a zit. it does make them dry up and go away though. i'd only use it for an initial attack. i prefer the Queen helene mint julep mask for spot treatment drying them out. it seems to diminish their appearance not make them look worse.

Tea tree oil burns worst than anything else I have ever used. It burns more the AHA I use. I also thought it irritated my skin more. It would make my skin very dry and red. Plus it stinks so badly that I just can't take it. My husband won't come near my when I use it.

LOL! That's a hilarious title...!! If it burns, I'd say skip it. However, if your looking for nice light moisturizer, Desert Essence does sell Jojoba oil...that's what I use...but only before bed and apply just a teeny tiny bit and spread it on a wet face and let dry.
HTH!
