the gel is better in my opinion b/c it stays on your face .. you just wash the BP away when you use it in a face wash .. I use a gentle face wash and then use BP gel and it seems to work well .. I was using a BP soap but it irrataed my face before my BP gel and it didn't work .. just my opinion, of course ...

Hey Jim i was wondering what if i use the BP wash and the BP gel? My skin is not irritated by that at all, but i was wondering if the BP wash is enough to take the place of say clearisal Acne wash. Thanks
I'm the other way around. I prefer a BP face wash. The leave-on gel irritates my skin, as it keeps on for too long. I use the BP wash to kill the bacteria, and then I use a salicylic acid gel since it's less damaging. It works very well, although I have these bumps on my forehead that aren't going away. I'm thinking of using an AHA to try and fix it. Dunno what to do about that, but I don't have very noticeable blemishes any longer.
you can get benzoyl preoxide in a gel? i didnt know that, is it less harsh than the cream version? i've tried %2.5, %4, %5 creams, all of which caused some kind of burnyness for me, is the gel version less burny and irratating?
