i am on tazorac cream...i have oily skin yet it dries easily and then becomes mad and gets even oilier when it dries....i need something gentle (i have tried that cetaphil norm/oily skin but the scent drives me nuts and kinda stings, and i have tried neutrogena fresh foaming cleanser but feel sticky after i wash.....HELP
Try cetaphil gentle skin cleanser, or neutrogena gentle skin cleanser. If you use any irritating face wash with a retinoid like tazorac it will only make things worst.
have u tried burts bees wild lettuce soap ? it has aloe and comfrey in it which is gentle on your skin ... it also gets ALL the oil off my face ... nothing on a cotton ball if I use a toner after I use the wild lettuce soap... good stuff
Have you tried Purpose? I use this and my skin is ultra sensitive-even when I am not using harsh topicals. What I do to make it even gentler is put some on my hand and then add water to dilute the cleanser even more.
has anyone used the cetaphil norm. to oily....or does that just dry your skin out more.....i have that tight feeling and i used it for a week and it doesn't leave me sticky but i think it breaks me out.
what is purpose...is it that same as cetaphil norm/oily skin.....will it dry me out or what? i don't need anything drying....but i need something that won't do any more harm becuase i am on tazorac
purpose has sodium laureth sulfate listed on the back of the bottle as well .. I personally found purpose to be way to drying for me .. it's not a good option for people with dry sensitive skin
I agree that Cetaphil for oily has a crappy smell, but is just mediocre as a cleanser in my opinion. I don't break out from it. I do like the Purpose gentle wash. If you feel that it is too drying, you could try their new Purpose moisturizing formula which is also a great product.
Another option is Eucerin's gentle hydrating cleanser. These I've mentioned are gentle and are suitable for persons using prescription topicals that can be drying.
