hi! has anyone here tried zinc to cure their acne? i've read that supplementing with zinc can really improve an existing acne condition. if someone has any info, like what brand is good and how much to take, i'd really appreciate it. thanks!
hi, I dont think zinc is as good for acne as some people might say, I have took zinc in the past and didnt really notice an improvement. I think you might be better of eating zinc in you're diet, I think olives are meant to contain zinc if I remeber correctly you would probally be bettter off eating olives every day...
i have a table spoon full of olive every day and eat a few pieces of dark coclate as it contains iron and vitamin E, I would recomend natural foods rather than expensive rip of vitamian pills personally

i have heard of people using diaper rash cream (40% zinc oxide) on their skin to treat and prevent breakouts. some people swear by it, although i have never tried it. i'm curious about it, but the diaper rash cream i have at home for my daughter contains only 13% so i dont know if it would be effective.
I supplement Zinc with Nature Valley tablets. It's not a godsend or anything, but it does make zits clear up faster and has stopped me from getting most of the huge cysts that I used to get every once in a while. Now I mainly get small whiteheads.
I would assume taking the recommened dose is safe. I take 20 mg a day. According to a pill book I have taking over 90 mg a day could cause amenia, reduced hld cholesterol and a lower functioning immune system.
