Question need help with pimples that wont come to a head

I got this terrible breakout around my mouth ......so bad that I actually asked to gett off from my waitressing job tonite cuz I could not face waiting tables looking like this.. ANywway-when these pimples first started forming I stuck Clean and CLear ten percent BP on them-and so far only one came to a head and the rest are still red but seem like they wont ever come to a head (i mean when they get white on top so you can drain them)...i keep putting more Bp on (changed to five percent) but nothing seems to be happening.......they are just a little smaller and defintely harder. what to do? ive had stuff like this happen before and they take forever to go away... I know some of you are experts out there so does anyone have any suggestions? I have tried some light moisturizer ....should i use more?

what worked for me is first apply a mask like queen helene's mint julep one and then after washing the mask off gently swab the blemish with a q-tip saturated w/apple cider vinegar. you can also try letting the q-tip stay on the blemish for some seconds. it'll probably sting and make it really red though. actually, i think i applied bp to my pimples for a couple of nights before i tried the above.

Be sure not to apply the BP too much, too often. It will irritate the skin and make it even redder, making it slowert to heal.

thanks for your replies and help guys....sometimes it seems like when you ask for help on this board you never get any replies. I def think that my mistake was too much or too strong BP but I was trying to kill them before they got bigger -I dont know about the Queen Helene thing cuz I have tried using that stuff before and it doesnt do much but irritate my skin.

Often times adding Vinegar, Peroxide, or Tee Tree oil will speed up the drying process, however if you think your pimples were red before they will get super red after using these. All are great antiseptics, but are also major skin irritants. If you have blood coming out of a popped zit and apply any of these to the affected area, they will also oxidize your blood and turn it dark red to black making the zit noticeable in any light and far distances. You just have to be smart and know when it is and when it is not time to do something like this.

stasia, i have the same trouble with the queen helene, try the freeman purifying facial clay masque (you can get it at walmart and it's cheap). it's much gentler but it is really good. let me know if you try it

well-they are getting a little less inflamed but still arent coming to a head (two days later). I put a little hydrocortizone on them this morning-somthing I never do cuz usually the cream in the hydro stuff makes me break out. THe pimples are hard and red still. I didnt try the cider vinegar thing cuz I wastn sure if it would make the pimples even dryer which seems to be the problem right now-I put too strong a Bp product on and the pimples didnt react well. This is also my first experiences with CLean and CLear Persa Gel and someone else on this board had the prob. with it.........

I am really finding that ice helps reduce inflammation and redness and helps make the big ones go away faster. I just put an ice cube on them for like 5 minutes a couple times a day. It also makes them less painful if they hurt.
